On the evening of March 1st, the Volkmanns spoke to over 300 parents attending the Community Forum. Thanks to great organization by active, caring parents and MIHS staff, the event went off without a hitch.

Both before and after the presentation, community members had a chance to visit an array of booths featuring information about different resources available for families and teens regarding substance abuse. Refreshments and cookies were offered and there was no cover charge!!

Amidst all of the exhibits and excitement, Toren gets a moment to speak to a few parents and pose for a picture.

Following the daytime assembly for all of the Mercer Island High School students, Toren and Chris stayed around during the lunch hours in order to meet some of the teens and answer any questions.
